Vote on the best athlete today

After the Bejing Olympics many surveys were done to determine the best athlete today. Many voted for the Phelps and many voted for USain Bolt. What do you think? Also, what about IOC presidents reprimand of Bolt for showmanship at the games, do you agree?
Was Carl Lewis being careful or unsupportive of a great athlete when he alluded to a wait and see attitude before showering Bolt with praise? I know what i think, how about you? Let us know.

Anti-aging research

This subject is not a popular one as some person persons are very cynical about this, others may even consider this type of research a joke. Did you know that the mitochondria in each cell powers the cell and renews it's energy? Also did you know that free radicals constantly bombard each cell several million times per second? now, if we could reduce free radical attacks and enhance mitochondrial function cells could easily and readily rebuild themselves and that mean every type of cell. This is what the body was supposed to do in the first place and is why humans stopped living longer-the body no longer able to heal and rebuild it self as it is supposed to.

The glory of God

We were created for God's glory and therefore I believe we are a part of His Glory as well as part of the plan to display His glory. His glory is just who He is, no one else can be Him, he is besides any other. His awesomeness is self evident. So, I do not believe God is at all concerned about us taking His glory for ourselves, because we cannot. Any thought of that is bordering on becoming like Lucifer himself and we know how that turned out, it never took long at all.
However, being a little overzealous and maybe overtaken with a little pride-which can be very dangerous, by the way- does not automatically put one in this category. God does not have an ego problem nor is He over sensitive or feel threatened by our ambitions.
Consider if you will scriptures such as " I will not share my glory with another" Isaiah 42:8 and others and you will see as you read along that God was not refering to us wanting to share in His power and majesty but rather to anyone or thing seeking to take His place as God. He says He will not have it for His name sake, no way for He alone is God! When last to you think to your self ' I wanna be God, He does not know how to do this thing right, I could do a better job?' Sometimes our attitudes saying that without us realizing it but but not so from our hearts. Thank God for His Grace and merc! But He is just saying , no other Gods besides Him.
Yet we beat up on our selves and on each other about glorifying our selves. We were created to be like Him in righteous and true holiness, we will reign with Him, He wants us to partake of His devine nature to be like Him, iy is all about heart!
Do not be caught in the religious trap my friend, stand fast therefire in the liberty where with Christ has made you free!

Time and eternity

TIME AND ETERNITY

 

Time is like the boundaries of a swimming pool

A reference point to safety,

Size and bottom help to keep us down to earth,

In touch with reality and aliveness.

 

Eternity is like forgetting the boundaries of the pool

And being cool with that.

We need to feel our feet touching the bottom

On swimming to the other side or to the end of the pool.

 

We can be comfortable just swimming

And not being mindful of the bottom or sides.

Then we don’t need the pool,

The ocean is a start and it never ends.

 

For eternity is where there is no boundary no shores,

From horizon to horizon,

No bottom, no sides,

That’s eternity in our hearts!
